Recently, the results of the 2024 Asia Wine & Spirits Awards (AWSA-SOMM) were officially announced. Chateau Nine Peaks won 1 Double Gold and 2 Gold medals.

Gold Medal – Chateau Nine Peaks Chardonnay Reserve 2023
This year's jury members include resident national champion sommeliers and Advanced Sommeliers, and a special invitation was extended to an Advanced Sommelier from Macau, China. Together, they tasted and evaluated 134 participating Chinese wines, ultimately categorizing the winning entries into Double Gold, Gold, and Silver awards. The entire selection process was conducted through blind tasting, with the identity of the wines only revealed after each panel had submitted their evaluations.( Source: Wine Sommelier.)

About AWSA- Asia Wine Spirits Awards by Sommeliers
It was founded by Tommy Lam in 2009 and has been held for 13 sessions so far. For many years, Mr. Tommy Lam has been committed to promoting the culture of sommeliers, and this competition aims to improve the professional skills and service level of Chinese sommeliers, encourage more young people to enter the sommelier industry, and improve the popularity and influence of the sommelier community.
